There are three paths to which a student can be placed in the Right Choices Program. First, the expulsion hearing officer can assign a student in lieu of expulsion. Second, the alternative placement hearing officers can assign a student to the program as a consequence for behavior that caused a student to be removed from his/her homeschool. Third, an IEP/504 team may determine a change of placement is appropriate for the student and will conduct the appropriate meetings as necessary.

Once it is determined that a student will be placed in the program, the parent must schedule an enrollment meeting with the school counselor. This meeting will be face to face and will include review of all the documents listed in the Documents section.
