Enrollment

There are three paths to which a student can be placed in the Right Choices Program. First, the expulsion hearing officer can assign a student in lieu of expulsion. Second, the alternative placement hearing officers can assign a student to the program as a consequence for behavior that caused a student to be removed from his/her homeschool. Third, an IEP/504 team may determine a change of placement is appropriate for the student and will conduct the appropriate meetings as necessary.

Once it is determined that a student will be placed in the program, the parent must schedule an enrollment meeting with the school counselor. This meeting will be face-to-face and will include review of the Right Choices Handbook and Student Information Sheet. Both documents are available below.
